So we built the first weeks around that
We came out the first night while our cleaners were still on site, so anything that needed fixing got fixed before morning. The next day, we walked the building with their director.
She didn’t have any notes. We did. Most of the doors in that building stay propped open all day, and our crew wasn’t pulling the door stops to vacuum behind them. Nobody had noticed. We fixed it anyway.
A few weeks in, the director mentioned that floors around the food areas were getting sticky. The crew put more into mopping those areas, sent us photos, and we told her it was handled. Then we kept checking.
The point isn’t that we’re flawless. Cleaning the same building every night builds muscle memory, and muscle memory misses things. Our job is to catch that before you do.
When they need more than cleaning
The center already had vendors it liked, and we weren’t there to replace anyone. When they asked us to quote touch-up painting, we priced their paint and it came back far more expensive than it should have been. A little digging showed a previous painter had been using the building’s industrial paint, the kind meant for doors and steel, on regular walls. We found the right paint, which lowers the cost of every future touch-up, whether they use us or not.
